| As one of the Pan Africa Film and Arts Festival community collaborators Project Africa Global will present its 3rd Annual Raiser Saturday February 9, 2008. Highlights of the 2008 festival include the star-studded red carpet Opening Night Gala to be held in Hollywood at the Director's Guild of America on February 7th. Known for showcasing new films first, past festival features have included box office and award-winning hits: Ray , Lackawanna Blues , Redemption , Crazy As Hell , Kingdom Come , Days of Glory , and the 2006 Academy Award® winner for Best Foreign Film, Tsotsi. | Saturday February 9, 2008 |
| CDC/SISTA Program sponsored by PAG SISTA: Sisters Informing Sisters on Topics about AIDS This group-level, gender- and culturally- relevant intervention, is designed to increase condom use with African American women. Five peer-led group sessions are conducted that focus on ethnic and gender pride, HIV knowledge, and skills training around sexual risk reduction behaviors and decision making. The intervention is based on Social Learning theory as well as the theory of Gender and Power |
